Here are some tips for transporting and looking after your cakes:
Always hold the cake box from the bottom and not the sides.
To avoid any melting of the icing, please ensure the heating inside the car is turned off and on warm days, turn the air conditioning on high.
Do not transport the cake on someone’s lap or on a seat, this might cause it to slide. It needs to be placed on a flat secure surface such as the footwell or boot.
Once it gets to its destination, refrigerate until needed. I would recommend removing from the fridge at least an hour before eating as the flavour improves at room temperature.
Store cakes in the fridge and consume within 3-4 days.
Finally I cannot be held responsible for any damage once the cake has left my possession.
